Lenovo
Concept Design
Art direction
While at Hugo and Cat, we worked alongside our branding agency Futurebrand and retail agency UXUS to create digital experiences design to educate, inspire and delight customers along their journey in the store.
As the design lead working with a multidisciplinary team, I worked on concept ideation, animation, prototyping, client presentations and design guidelines.
Using the Lenovo Yogabook we wanted to create a chance for people to draw their own character and it magically come to life on screen.
Game on
As part of the store design we put forward several experience ideas, this was one to heighten the trial of Lenovo's new VR headset, design to simulate and move alongside the content. We wanted to bring in a few of these into the gaming arena to build a buzz around compeition's between stores and to showcase a live scoreboard.
Random but right
We wanted to play on the playful nature the brand amplifies and used random objects and things to create fun mix matching stickers for people to create themselves from push from a randomiser.
Gone are the days of mediocre laptop vinyls, we wanted to introduce a gallery of textured graphic prints designed by well known artists.
We designed an interactive selector for people to choose their design and allow them to make adjustments depending on what device they wanted it for. We made sure kept to the brand message of being bold and unexpected.
Using simple layers for each stage we used animated movements to guide the customer.
We saw an opportunity to bring our designs to other Lenovo devices by introducing them to their new VR headset and show the potential of rolling this onto new potential products in the future.
A visual reality
Lenovo has a great following of loyal customers and fans, we wanted to bring that into store, in form of shape shifting graphics and images representing the brand and chosen hashtags from their social sites.
Together we designed a modular based table system that could adjust and slot in different sections depending on the product showcase. We incorporated different interactive screens to deliver content as well as platforms like the AR playground for people to explore technology within devices which could be mapped to a space.
