While at Velocity, I was asked to lead a new full web design for video company Synamedia. Working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, we were able to work together to work on the strategy and positioning of the new site, the Information Architecture and wireframes with the client throughout to get their input and buy in towards the direction of the new site. Following the wireframes as a process, I start to create a baseplate using the elements in the new branding, but making sure they are web ready, ie colour accessibility, web fonts, button variations etc. The baseplate is tested to make sure it meets the latest web standards and is updated throughout the design stages.

Working with an talented Artworker, we gathered a library of photography for the site which would cover each topic we would cover for the clients product categories. It was very important to us to capture real people, with diversity in different scenarios watching TV, which is the focal point of Synamedia's core offering. We wanted to include the brand colours wherever possible in a subtle way in each image. I set the tone, mood and direction in a brief for the image researching so we could have a set of images that truly represent the brand.

I worked with an illustrator and animator to bring ideas I had for each page to life, bringing the brand style for illustration in the equation with an abstract look and feel, we wanted to make sure the visuals matched the copy and the content worked together in harmony.
